We came in for take out Friday about 9:45PM. Food was great and customer service was wonderful.

I've gotten take out with my boyfriend from here at least 5 or 6 times in the few weeks since moving to town and the food is amazing! We've eaten just about everything on the menu, the lamb kabsah, falafel, and dolmas multiple times. Tonight was the first time we went in to dine, mostlt because we wanted to see what was actually on the menu. There's no menu online, so we've always just asked for recommendations on the phone when calling for take out. I posted the menu online tonight, so hopefully that helps some people in ordering! Try the kafta!

This is absolutely the worst place to purchase a gyro with pita for the price. I ordered two lamb gyros sandwiches with fries to go. The orders were neatly organized upon departure but after opening gyro sandwiches at home, there were no more than 5 yes 5 small pieces of meat hidden among lettuce, onions, and tomatoes. I called to complain and was told they use organic meat and it was expensive. I later found out the same owner is International Delight. I had the same issue at that location and never returned. Don't waste your time! I tried Santorini Gyros and they were more than generous with their lamb on gyros for the same price.

Just came back from an excellent dinner here! Nasir was very friendly and helpful showing us all of the different dishes on the menu. I ended up ordering the Lamb Kabsah. It was absolutely delicious! The lamb was full of flavor and very juicy. The meat just fell off the bone. Succulent! The kabsah rice was also delicious. I rarely am able to finish all of the rice on the plate, but I totally did because it was so good. My dad's chicken was also delicious, and my mom loved the salad and lentil soup she got. Really, this is probably the best place to eat in Las Cruces! I'm definitely coming back on my next trip!

Two very successful visits. Their lamb mathbi is just out of this world and the lamb favored rice. Yummm. The baba gounoujh is ok not as good as Santorini more like a typical store bought taste. The lamb gyro was great very flavorful and plentiful. The lamb sharwma was good too. Their tazetki sauce tasted homemade and not the store bought kind Kudo. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. They clearly love their food and of course great service. The space is nice but it was hidden. It needs a sign out front because we almost missed it on the first trip. The gentleman we were with loved it and he is a regular at Santorini. He says he will tell his brother in law about that problem since the brother in law owns the shopping plaza. Small world.

Outstanding food and service; reasonably priced. My wife and I ate dinner at Sheba Grill on Friday, August 7th, 2015. We each had a chicken dish, she the chicken kabash, I the spicy chicken in a tomato-based broth. The portions were generous and delicious. The spicy chicken was just right: not overpowering with heat but with an inviting and tantalizing spiciness that made the tender white meat taste even better. The desserts, which I cannot name, were to die for. Service was prompt, friendly and polite. Unbelievably, the price for the two entrees was just under $20. If I lived in Las Cruces, I'd be there every week. But, alas, we live in Austin, Texas. However, whenever I-10 takes us by Las Cruces, we'll be customers of Sheba Grill.

This place is better than most Mediterranean restaurants I've been to in LA! Falafels are perfectly moist, chicken schawarma and gyro are expertly seasoned, tzaziki, hummus and baba ganoush are clearly homemade.... I think they might smoke their own paprika. AND they use the kind of toilet paper you would use if your boss came to dinner. So sad we're only passing thru :(

We just discovered this place on a drive to check out las cruces. We ordered the lamb mathbi (darker meat in the pictures) and the lamb kabsah. Both were good but the lamb mathbi is way better, more flavorful. Rice was a little dry but still good. Service was great. Definitely recommend this place for authentic Arabic food. We'll be back.

I absolutely love this place! I've eaten here dozens of times, and it's consistently wonderful. I'm a huge fan of their lamb gyros, but I've never been disappointed with anything else on the menu!

Lamb Kabsah! Falls apart and melts in your mouth! Friendly staff and great Mediterranean food. Just off the Interstate--easy to get to.

I wound up going here while on a quick jaunt to New Mexico. Couldn't find an pen Indian restaurant in El Paso, so this sufficed for Mediterranean/Arab food. I had some lamb dish (can't remember the name) plus bamya or whatever it's called. (Soup. Some kind of soup.) The food was delicious, the meat came off the bone easily. I was disappointed there wasn't more meat, but at least they didn't overcharge. It's a pretty open area, has a more traditional seating area to the far right, with HDTVs on each wall. The central furnishings looked hand-made, like someone went to Home Depot and did it all themselves. Looked nice. The waitress was very pleasant, not fake. A very sweet person, likable. She made sure that I enjoyed my meal. It's a cool set-up, if I tour New Mexico I'll make sure to drop by again. The one thing I kind of wished was that they had more variety on the menu. Then again, it's smart to specialize and make those dishes well than to do a lot of mediocrity.

This is a hidden gem in Las Cruces. Tucked away in a shopping center I almost missed it. I came in around 1pm, the place is pretty quiet. Diana sat me and got my drink immediately. Within minutes I had my drink, hummus and falafel sandwich. The falafel is insane, crispy but not over cooked on the outside and so very soft on the inside. Hummus is delish as well. Great service, outstanding food. Stop in for sure!

Went here for lunch with friends for the first time. I was quite impressed with the vegetarian platter! Huge portion sizes, hummus, falafel, lots of rice and salad. The falafel was the best I have had in a long time and it isn't super salty. I def wouldn't have found this place unless my friend new were it was as it is tucked away in a hidden plaza off of main but close to campus. I will go back again.

Delicious!! We stopped by on a Saturday night on our way through Las Cruces, and so glad we did! Our server Nasir was extremely helpful and friendly, and the food was outstanding! We had baba ganoush, lamb kabsah, gyro sandwich and lentil soup - all winners :) The rice was the most flavorful we've had. For dessert we tried the Burma, and Nasir brought us a sample of basbosa - both excellent and luckily very small portions as they are so rich! We'll definitely stop by again on our next trip through NM.

  • Betty V.

Update: The manager called me and said he refunded the full meal and said if we ever stopped by again we would get 50% off. I definitely appreciate his focus on customer service, and if we are ever in the area again we will try it again.

Authentic and delicious. Odd location, and very empty on the Saturday afternoon I visited. Definitely NOT Indian, but Middle Eastern. Lentil soup is to die for, hummus is legit, and vegetarian plate was quite good, though a bit heavy on the rice. My husband enjoyed his lamb dish but didn't rave about it. Mango lassi isn't quite like the thicker Indian version I'm used to, but they used real mango with nice overtones of cardamom. Eat here! Keep them in business! Las Cruces is more than $5 taco plates!

  • Chad B.

I loved this place. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was amazing. I had the lamb shawarma sandwich with a side of hummus and falafel. I also had a mango lassi to drink. This place is amazing and close to my house. I will definitely be visiting them often!

Stayed the night in Holiday Inn NM on a trip from Texas to Cali. Its a great shift from traditional "on the road" meals especially for vegetarians. The veggie plate is actually vegan.

Wow. The food here is EVERYTHING !!! It's sooo good, cooked to perfection very flavorful! I so happy that I found this gem and I can't wait to come back.

Eaten here twice, great experience both times and with a wide variety of foods sampled. Very clean food, featuring slow cooked Halal/kosher friendly meats. Very reliable spot. Soccer in Arabic adds fun to the ambiance.

Dinner on Sunday evening about a 2 hours before closing. Lentil soup, baba, Shwarma and Lamb Kabah - all very tasty and reasonably priced. A gem of the Middle East (Yemen we were told) in Las Cruces. If you want a change from the routine of Mexican restaurants in the area, Sheba is highly recommended.

The food was great and the service was even better. This of the best Middle Eastern Cuisine in the area. This is a must try Restraunt!

Found this place while in Las Cruces for work. We were looking for something a bit different and this place was not a disappointment. It's located on one end of a strip mall and doesn't necessarily stand out in the crowd, but it's worth the search! We went on a Monday night and had the place to ourselves. At first we wondered if the yelp reviews were legit, but thankfully the food held up to the hype. Even though it was a small group, we could actually hear them cooking the food - no microwaving lunch = win! I had the chicken shawarma plate with the yellow rice, small salad, and an order of tzatziki. Everything was cooked perfectly and obviously homemade. I'm not ashamed to say I made my best effort for a clean plate :-) The rest of the group expressed similar sentiments on their meals as well. Not far from I-10, this is a great little place for a stop traveling through or even if you're a local.

Being from Santa Fe where there is a plethora of great restaurants, my boyfriend & I were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the food was! I got the vegetarian plate & he got one of the chicken plates & we shared. I just wish the veggie plate had more of the hummus & falafels & less rice but it was still great & we'll be back the next time we come down.

This was my second time in for lunch. I loved it the first time and this visit also did not disappoint. I tried a cup of the Edam soup which was a vegtable soup with big chunks of potato and carrot in a very flavorful broth. Excellent. I also had the Mediterranean salad which was fresh and flavorful with romaine onion Kalamata olives and feta cheese. I highly recommend this place. It is one of the best restaurants in town.

After spending some time at the Farmer's Market downtown, we decided to try out the Sheba Grill for lunch. My wife had the falafel sandwich and I had one of the lamb dishes that came with rice. The portions of lamb and rice were more than I could eat, so there is more to eat later. Both of our meals were good and the service was very good. Would return.

My wife and I have been here twice. The menu is small and a little limited, but the items we've gotten so far have been very flavorful and abundant portions. Seasoning was spot on. We've had several lamb dishes, the chicken curry, and the samosas and falafal appetizers. The lamb falls off the bones, and the chicken is juicy and full of middle eastern flavors. Best middle eastern food in Las Cruces. When I said above that the menu is a little limited, here's why. They have several lamb and chicken dishes. No beef or fish however. Also, they have a curried chicken, but no curried lamb. Just seems a bit odd since the basic ingredients are all there. This restaurant deserves a big following. It has very tasty food that is reasonably priced, and you can't really find it anywhere else in Las Cruces. Unfortunately, unless they make some changes, i think they are destined to fail. The first issue is their stock control. The first time we ate there they had no samosas and no desserts. The second time we ate there they had no "yellow rice", only white rice. (Note: both times we were the first customers for an early 5 pm diner). Supposedly, according to the waitress, the restaurant owners also own a middle eastern market in Las Cruces; so in my opinion, there should be no excuse for running out of rice or any of the appetizers, etc. Who's in charge of taking stock every day? My second issue is they have no almost no advertising. My wife and I "stumbled" upon the restaurant while browsing Yelp. They were #23 on the list of restaurants near us. They've been open for at least 6 months, but the plaza where they are located still has no indication on the sign for the plaza that the restaurant is there. They are located at the end of the plaza not very obviously visible from the street. I've driven by there for months and never noticed it. So, it seems most of the patronage is word-of-mouth. Both times we've been there, albeit early, it's been just us and on other couple. I wish them the best of success here since we really enjoyed the food. Please work out those few bugs and stick around!

We passed through here on a road trip and chose the restaurant because it had great reviews on Yelp. We absolutely loved our delicious dishes- the chicken schwarma and gyro plates. The flavors were outstanding and I would def love to go back if we could. The one thing I would say is that we went there around 7pm and the nearby businesses in the complex most likely were closed because the huge parking lot was almost empty and almost deterred us from finding the place and going in.

This place is exceptional. We tried it with a group of friends and were delighted with how awesome ALL of the different dishes were! Adds needed diversity to Las Cruces dining! We are BEYOND excited for them to expand their menu to include Indian food! The service was wonderful and the ambiance was very inviting. I recommend it to everyone!

A wonderful addition to Las Cruces. The falafel sandwich was scrumptious, as was the chicken kabob plate. And try the lentil soup ... it's fantastic!

Here's the deal, this place in comparison to what we've been able to find in the area is ok, I put Tiffany's at a 5 in comparison but in reality in comparison to the "real deal" this place is a 1, Tiffany's a 3+ and 5 being the best stuff from home, Glendale, Detroit, Boston. Why 3 for Sheba? We walked in, it was only us, not a great sign. Sat down, the gentlemen "serving" us was super nice, got our drinks etc. Came back and got our orders, like many that have rated here we got a sample of items. Starting w/falafel, never saw them ever in the shape of a donut, but they were "freshly" cooked, so they weren't bad. Then we got humus, nothing spectacular, similar to Saba from the store, so not as good as i've had. Wife got the gyro plate, loaded w/meat, pretty good. I got the lamb like ground kabob, not what i was expecting paper thin patties that were "ok". You get a ton of rice and grilled veggies, so if you eat your entire plate, you'll be stuffed. Also got a few samples of desserts, the baklava was made w/melted sugar, not honey and it was delicious. But they get it shipped in from CA he said, most likely Glendale area. Overall, i'm not sure how this place would do if there was more than 2 tables b/c our server was hustling from the kitchen area and our table and 1 other. Any more like lunch etc. during the week i hope they have more servers.

Special dinner for 7 planned while in town. Ordered several dinners in restaurant to go and waited. Very clean place and kind people. Very generous with everything but there was very little meat in the dinners. LOTS of rice and a little salad in each. Average price $13.00 per dinner. All dinners came in separated/sectioned styrofoam containers: chicken swarma, lamb swarma, "vegetarian plate" (was 2 little, fresh falafel & a fresh salad - romaine lettuce, tomato, cucumber, dressing and a few olives). Nicely spiced little chunks of lamb & chicken but just such a small handful of it. We enjoyed the babaganoush, hummus and pita. The baclava as very fresh. Good tzatki. All was spiced well and we were happy with all portions except the meat. Perhaps in house dining would have given more. $13 is high price for so little meat. All tasty! Would go back if in Las Crusas.

I'm not sure why this place got sure good reviews, I think I'm being generous at three stars, because it was average at best. We thought we would try a number of menu items. The falafel looked like it came out of a package, I've never seen donut shaped falafel before. We ordered hummus which was pretty good, but the pita was very ordinary. We had soup, which came out after our main course, and was stone cold. I ordered the lamb shawarma, which was OK but contained a huge piece of gristle, and was served with an enormous side of cold French fries. Our friends each ordered curries, which came in a soup bowl, with a completely disproportionate amount of rice, and a tiny salad on the side. They said their stuff was OK. The service, though the server was very nice, was not very professional. On a funny side, when he served the hummus, I asked him if we could have small plates, and he brought out one and handed it to me. We won't be going back.

Shared the chicken curry and chicken tikka masala. Both soooooo good. Every component was cooked to perfection, seasoned beautifully. Service is fast and extremely friendly. Will be returning!

The food was terrific. The baba ganoush was excellent; so was the hummus. My husband had lamb schwarma. The lamb was in chunks not thin slices. We were told that the chef is Yemeni and that is their version. The falafel was donut shaped and excellent. The only problem was that our soups did not come out before the main course. By then, it was clear that we had plenty to eat and did not want them. The manager appeared and apologized for the problem in the kitchen. He gave us dessert on the house. The middle eastern deserts were wonderful. There was home made green salsa for my rice. It was delicious but did not seem to fit with our food choices. The manager suggested it would go very well with lamb and chicken. It was delightful finding good middle eastern food in Mexican food country. The meat is from a halal butcher; it did not matter to us but might be important to some. The service was a little sketchy but the food was so good that my husband and I would both recommend this place.

The chicken kabob (shish tawook) dish alone is worth the visit. I don't know what wonder spices they marinate the chicken in, but it was delicious. Served with grilled vegetables and flavorful rice... yeah I'll be back! FYI the interior of the restaurant isn't finished yet. There are still some decorations from the previous restaurant. I look forward to seeing the final decor.

I stopped in Las Cruces on a long road trip from San Diego, CA to Austin, TX. The food here was really well done. While the service was slow, the food was very authentic and brought back memories of food back in the middle east. I was told the chef/owner is Yemeni which makes sense given the spiciness and flavor of the food.

  • Miranda W.

Hands down, the best gyros in town! And trust me, I've looked. The staff is always friendly and happy to put up with my inquiries of how to pronounce things on the menu. Despite my inquiries, though, I can still never remember the name of the creamy, spicy sauce that you should definitely order with the gyro (not hot sauce. It's something else). I do wish the falafel was bigger (but that's only because it's soo good!). To top it off, this place is very affordable. They mostly just have Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food options, but whenever I asked them about their Indian food offerings, they said that they were working on getting an Indian buffet in over the summer, which I have little doubt will also be superb. I have never been in here when there wasn't a soccer (futbol) game on the two or three televisions they have. The ambiance could use a little love, but the food is so good I really don't care. I love this place and I will continue to go there regularly.

Cuisine is excellent. Very authentic and delicious! Their vegetarian selection is awesome. Portions are plentiful and we experienced great service. They are expanding their menu soon to include indian food which we are really excited about since there are not options for this currently in Las Cruces.
